**About the role**

Our Neighbourhoods & Communities group works alongside the community to maintain active and vibrant networks, both within Council and across our shared spaces. This group aims to enhance the impact of our collective efforts for the communities we serve.

As Pou Tiaki Lead you will champion the principles of community led development through supporting and leading your team to build knowledge trust and confidence to deliver and enable the services and spaces people and groups need.

We are looking for an experienced people leader to bring their insights and experience to lead our Pou Tiaki so they are effective and customer-focused in delivery and facilitation of services that:

- Connect people and groups
- Enable activities that support wellbeing
- Deliver and enabling the services people need
- Optimise our shared spaces and places.
- Foster a positive customer experience at every stage of the customer journey.

**About you**

You'll bring previous experience working in a frontline, customer service position with a desire to provide exceptional service. You'll enjoy building positive relationships across the organisation and have strong analytical skills that will see you succeed at developing solutions to ensure great customer service.

The successful applicant will have:

- Proven experience in a leadership position managing people is essential
- Resilient nature and ability to manage and drive change
- Outstanding relationship building skills.
- A demonstrable interest in library, recreation, arts and culture and community service
