We have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Technical Lead to join the Digital Services Team, based at our Mount Albert Science Centre. The Digital Services team works with many business groups including scientists to deliver, enhance and support customised, and bespoke, software-based solutions.

**In this role you will be involved in**:

- Providing technical leadership to the Digital Services team to plan, design, estimate, implement and support software-based business solutions across the breadth of ESR's software development.
- Devising fit for purpose solutions that meet performance, scalability and resilience objectives.
- Supervising the delivery of software projects to ensure technology goals are delivered.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Significant progressive work experience within a development team environment, using modern, current software technologies, including:.net core,.net framework front end and mobile frameworks, containerisation and cloud technologies.
- Proven experience delivering many projects of varying complexity across multiple business lines simultaneously.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience implementing or working in a modern DevOps/agile development environment
- Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and Profiler
- Familiarity with modern Functional and Procedural programming languages
- Comfortable with development tools such as Visual Studio and modern code editors like Sublime and VS Code
