We have multiple vacancies available Challenge your already established leadership skills and join us with a permanent opportunity as a **Team Lead (L1) **in Customer and Compliance Services (CCS).

**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

This is a team leadership role with compelling purpose Lead and support your team to improve customer experience and champion IR’s customer-centric and intelligence culture.

In this varied role you will:

- Encourage innovation in your team; continually looking for opportunities to improve our services for customers, across all our channels and products.
- Actively coach your people and empower them to provide end-to-end customer service, enabling our ‘right from the start’ approach.
- Role model IR’s leadership behaviours and deliver on customer and performance outcomes.
- Act as a point of escalation or assistance to support resolution of complex issues to achieve better outcomes for IR and our customers.
- Focus on supporting your team to develop and build their capabilities; fostering continuous learning and growth, to ensure a positive employee experience. Support the health, safety and wellness of your people.

**To be successful in this position you will possess some of the following attributes**:

- An understanding of IR’s customer base, Customer Segment Strategies and Customer Segment Plans and how they align with the overall strategic direction of CCS and IR.
- An ability to explain the ‘why’ behind our direction and decisions, so your people feel connected and know how their everyday work contributes to IR’s goals and outcomes.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and empower people through coaching.
- A strong desire to learn and grow as a people leader.
- The ability to effectively design, plan, manage and integrate change.
- The ability to make effective decisions that consider the impacts and interdependencies.

**Mō mātou | About us**

CCS is made up of 2 groups: Individuals and Business. Together we are a team of approximately 3,200 people, in sites across the country.

We are the first point of contact for IR’s customers, from individuals through to families and local and international businesses. We provide tax technical and legal support for IR, and we’re connected to other agencies.

**Hours of Work**

You will work 75 hour 50 minutes per fortnight to be worked across Monday to Friday.
