Newstalk ZB is on the hunt for a powerhouse Executive Producer to take the reins of our primetime news show - Heather du Plessis-Allan Drive, starting January 2026.

This is **not** your average producing gig. It’s a rare chance to shape the national conversation, drive the news agenda, and lead a high-performing team at the heart of New Zealand’s biggest commercial newsroom.

You’ll be working across the afternoon to bring our drive-time audience the latest on the big issues of the day.

- A **deep contact book** and the hustle to keep it growing.
- The ability to **wrangle talent**, manage pressure, and keep the show sharp and responsive.

This is a **12-month fixed-term role** (maternity cover), based in Auckland.
