Te Wānanga o Aotearoa has provided a fresh and vibrant alternative within the New Zealand tertiary education sector for 30 years, enhancing the skills and employment opportunities of more than 300,000 graduates.
**About the position**:
We are seeking a Kaiako to deliver Te Aupikitanga ki te Reo Kairangi, a total immersion reo Māori programme at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.
The Kaiako role is responsible for but not limited to developing lesson plans and delivering programme content, as well as taking an active role in the recruitment of students.
**About you**:
To be considered for this role you will hold the following:
- A Degree in te reo Māori or Maori Studies;
- A Level 5 Adult Teaching qualification;
- Full NZ Driver License;
- Fluency in spoken and written Māori.
**Preferred experience**:
- 3+ years’ experience teaching full immersion in te reo Māori;
- 3 + years’ experience teaching adults;
