**Job Description**:
AECOM has a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Safety, Health, Environment & Wellbeing (SHE&W) Advisor to join our business.
As an active member of our national SHE&W team, you will assist in driving compliance and continuous improvement to ensure a strong culture of SHE&W excellence is upheld. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of health, safety & wellbeing programs and initiatives, supporting projects and offices throughout NZ.
This is a hands-on role, which will see you predominantly participating in office work with some field-based work, and travel to other AECOM offices when required.
Our preference is for the role to be based in Auckland however we will consider Hamilton, Wellington or Christchurch.
Day to day your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Working with leaders to set the tone of SHE&W culture
- Collaborating with key clients to ensure their requirements are understood and implemented
- Conducting internal safety management system audits
- Participating in external systems audits
- Coordinating and maintaining the tools of AECOM's SHE&W Program
- Facilitating monthly SHE&W committee meetings
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly safety performance reports
- Maintaining AECOMs subcontractor pre-qualification process
- Delivering inductions and training
- Coordinating SHE&W submissions for bids and tenders
**Qualifications**:
We are seeking a confident and collaborative Health & Safety professional who shares our passion for delivering high quality safety initiatives that can influence and engage with our people and clients, in our offices as well as, in the field. You will be a natural team player who can demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Safety, Health or Environment
- Health and safety training will be highly regarded e.g., incident investigation, health and safety auditing, return to work coordination, trainer and assessor
- 6+ years' professional health & safety experience
- Experience working in a consulting environment is highly preferable
- Experience in developing and/or implementing new health and safety procedures, programs or initiatives
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence at all levels
- Fully competent in Microsoft Office i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook
