Cloud Support Engineer

This role supports our services that focus on enabling Container Deployments on AWS with services such as AWS Elastic Container Service, Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Batch and implementing serverless architectures over AWS Fargate, AppMesh, and Cloud Map. Additionally, the role also supports certain Monitoring and Observability tools such as X-Ray, Managed Services of Prometheus. Basic qualifications To qualify for this role, you should have the following experience: - Knowledge/experience in administration and troubleshooting for two (2) or more of the following: DevOps/Deployment, Orchestration Management, and/or Configuration Management - Knowledge/experience in continuous integration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, or related tools). - Master’s degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR Bachelor’s degree in the same with 1+ year of experience OR equivalent experience in a technical position Job summary If you fit the description, you might be the person we are looking for We are a group of smart people, passionate about cloud computing, and believe that world class support is critical to customer success. "As we operate on follow-the-sun model, you may be required to work a staggered week; either Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat (no on-call).” - One or more Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Glassfish, JBoss, Puma, Passenger, IIS). - Scripting or development experience using Python, Node.js/JavaScript, PowerShell or C# (.NET), Ruby, Golang. - Understand the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, deploy. - Experience with Kubernetes or containerization technologies - Understanding of hypervisor/virtualization and containerization Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
