The Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake aims to improve trust and confidence in public services by giving New Zealanders an independent view of government spending and performance. As the statutory auditor of all public organisations, from councils to schools, the Auditor-General's work plays a major part in ensuring that our public sector remains one of the most trusted in the world.
We have an opportunity for a permanent Cloud Engineer to join the Platforms and Services Establishment team. The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Office's Cloud Environment, (primarily Azure and M365).
Responsibilities include developing and implementing cloud-based solutions, migrating existing on-premises systems and services to the cloud, the creation and support of CI/CD Pipelines and maintaining systems in the cloud. The Cloud Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring the security and reliability of the company's cloud environment.
We're looking for someone with :
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure Products, and Microsoft 365 apps and services.
- Proficiency in applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with tools such as Terraform, Azure DevOps and Git for automation, deployment, and version control.
- Demonstrated capability in supporting core cloud and infrastructure services, including identity, networking, security services, and messaging platforms.
- A strong working knowledge of VM Management, storage, server administration, and management, including backups and patching.
