**Your new company**

Large Public Organisation based in Wellington, looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join their Digital Platform teams and help support their cloud infrastructure and projects.

**Your new role**

As a cloud engineer, your focus will be on evolving my client’s hybrid, multi-cloud and digital platform for them.

You will have a deep understanding and experience in developing AWS infrastructure that can be leveraged across multiple solutions, scripting these environments using meta-data and building CI/CD Pipelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Leading and coordinating the domain specific technical and business discussions relative to architecture direction and principles

Establishing critical non-functional requirements at solution level, participation in definition of others

Identifying the tool and component options used within the domain and assesses requests for exemptions as warranted

Keeping technology and service managers aware of key technology issues, identifying, and resolving potential problems and conflicts

Designing and delivering solutions around AWS, while addressing a variety of technical needs & issues including:

- Automation/self-service
- Security concerns around identity & access
- Data privacy and protection
- CI/CD and security practices
- High availability, scalability and/or resilience
- Monitoring, self-healing, and cost postures

**What you'll need to succeed**

As well as having experience in a similar role, working in a DevOps environment and working with Vendors, you will also have experience in:

- Expertise in core infrastructure
- Leading the execution and development of key capabilities, including IaaS/PaaS automation, cost-management and IAM role-based access.
- Working with Cloud vendors to help implement new and current tech into specific environments.
