Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
A great opportunity has become available for a Clinic Schedule Administrator to join our Gastroenterology service, part of Adult Medical Services Directorate at Te Toka Tumai. Based at Auckland City hospital, the primary purpose of the position is to schedule both outpatient and inpatient procedures for gastroenterology, in a patient focussed environment. This role has been created to ensure that scheduling of appointments has patient agreement, fits within the Endoscopy Unit schedules and meets MoH timeframe guidelines.
The Clinic Schedule Administrator's primary task is to ensure the effective day-to-day operation of Gastroenterology Lists at Te Toka Tumai as part of the Gastroenterology Scheduling Team by maintaining consistent standards and processes.
Our core hours for this role are primarily structured around the clinic hours but could vary depending on changes for the service. Your working hours could vary anytime between 7:30am through to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
This is a very busy role requiring high aptitude in prioritising, problem solving, self-managing, and being a team player. You will need to be flexible and have advanced people and computer skills. You will have an excellent phone manner and be confident speaking to a diverse range of people. You will show empathy towards patients contributing towards a positive patient experience and efficient running of the clinics.

To be successful you will need to have a “can do” attitude, proven administration skills, demonstrate attention to detail, with good time management, and problem-solving skills. You will also need:
- Three years of secondary education or relevant work experience
- Sound customer service experience
