Mō te tūranga - About the role
As a Relationship Manager in our NZ Business Banking team, you’ll play a key role in helping Kiwis start, buy and sustainably grow their business. This role is responsible for actively managing and growing a portfolio of customers through client acquisition, cross-sell, referrals and ongoing relationship management. They collaborate with product partners and other stakeholders to ensure an effective and value adding strategy is identified for the client whilst minimising all potential risks to ANZ.

As a Relationship Manager role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build sustainable long-term client relationships and growing critical customer portfolios,
- Collaborate with various teams with the Business Unit and across the wider bank to support your customers’ growth and ongoing success,
- Role model coaching, underpinned by a deep understanding of individual's motivations and aspirations to engage and inspire outperformance, and
- Develop a network of contacts and assist in achieving overall business strategies of sourcing new business, maximizing existing business, and increasing effectiveness.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven experience in relationship management, business development, portfolio and/or account management,
- Previous experience in banking/financial/accounting, or relevant experience would be beneficial, but not essential,
- Ability to work independently, work with a team with proven analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills,
- Proven networking skills to enhance customer relationships, maximize, and grow portfolios, and
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
