**The Opportunity**:
The Seed & Plant Health business unit at AsureQuality is looking for a new person to be the Field Trial Team Leader / Technical expert for Plant Variety Rights (PVR) and OECD Plot Testing programmes.

In this role, you will be hands on with delivering technical field work plus will lead & coach a team of 1-5 people.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organise, plan & supervise the overall workload within the Field Trial (PVR/OECD) team.
- Hands on participation in technical delivery on the programmes, and training your staff.
- Develop and maintain work procedures, work instructions and training material.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, MBIE (PVRO), contactors, breeders, existing landlords, suppliers, oversees PVR/Plot testing experts and other interested parties.

This is a full-time permanent role (min 40 hours per week), mainly based in the Lincoln region, with occasional domestic travel. You will receive a market level salary, annual salary reviews and a tools of trade vehicle.
**About You**:
To be a good fit for this role you will have:

- An Agriscience or similar relevant tertiary qualification.
- Prior relevant Seed & Plant Health industry work experience, ideally to do with PRV and/or OECD plot testing. (Optional to have prior leadership experience too)
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills, plus a friendly can-do attitude.
- A full clean NZ driver's licence and good at following the road rules.
- Physically fit and able to do the physical duties of this role - as it can involve light lifting and lots of walking.
