We work together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions though our promise "If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way." **Mō te Tūranga | About the Role** We sat down with our Head of Procurement - Operations, and they let us know the following about the tūranga (role). **What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this tūranga will complete?** - Working with the broader tīma to drive optimal use of Contracts and Sourcing systems. - Build and deliver self-service options related to guided buying, contracting & sourcing. - Driving increase catalogue purchasing and self-service by the business, and building out resources related to guided buying aligning to categories. - Managing low value/risk contract renewals/extensions and statements of works with Sourcing Consultants and the business in accordance with guided buying - Management of graduates and associates with a "sourcing consultants of the future" mindset. **What is the tīma culture and environment like?** We are a collaborative tīma that works hard but also likes to have fun and are passionate about what we do. We encourage curiosity and challenging the status quo with a stakeholder centric mindset. **What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?** Having recently launched our new procurement platform, this tūranga will be instrumental in ensuring the tīma and stakeholders are optimally using our new technology to deliver both commercial value but also delivering simpler, easier sourcing and contracting processes. The business will be empowered to do more for themselves, but the strategic sourcing tīma will also feel adequately supported with less strategic commercial activity. **Why did the last person leave this tūranga?** This is a new opportunity that has been created, which means shaping the direction of the tūranga and tīma is one of the key focus areas. **What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga?** - Strong stakeholder engagement skills. - Technical acumen and comfort with procurement systems, and commercial experience in strategic sourcing and contracting processes. - A strong focus on continuous improvement. **Nau Mai ki te Pēke o Aotearoa | Come to the Bank of New Zealand
