We are Bakery, Café and catering outlet based in Waihi. We are looking for an energetic and customer focused Assistant Manager to join our team.

Applicants for this role must have full
- time availability, willing to start 3am in the mornings when needed, evenings and weekends shifts & will be able to be managing the cafe. You will make sure the cafe is running smoothly.

Position Summary:
Assists in overall cafe management, responsible for inventory and money control systems. Assists in local promotion & marketing initiatives.
Tasks and responsibilities:
1. Ensure customers receive prompt service and quality goods and services
2. Maintain business records as outlined
3. Assists in purchasing and marketing policies.
4. Identify and contact prospective customers to promote sales.
5. Assists in planning special events and promotions.
6. Assist in purchasing from suppliers.
PREREQUISITES:
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Two years’ experience within the retail sector preferred.
- A degree preferred.
- Passionate to exceed individual and store sale targets and KPI’s.
- Loves to contribute in a team environment
- Must have flexibility on working weekends, days/hours to cover leave and peak trade periods as per the roster as the store is open 6 am to 4 pm on weekdays and 7 am to 4 pm on weekends. Must be available for 3am starts to assist baking and catering orders.
