**About the Role**
The primary purpose of the National Clinical Lead, Community Care Pathways, is to provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Health New Zealand Care Pathways programme.
This role involves building trusting relationships, collaborating on opportunities for health system improvement, supporting the development of national pathway programme processes, maintaining quality and supporting clinician engagement.
**About the Team & Service**
In this role, you will report to the GM Care Pathways and Value Based Care, where day to day you'll build influential relationships across the sector, lead collaborative discussions through the Strategic Clinical Leadership Group, and work closely with experts and stakeholders to drive consensus on clinical care. You'll mentor a high-performing clinical editing team, guide the development of nationally aligned pathways, and play a key role in identifying and managing clinical risks.
**About you**
- The role of the Clinical Lead Community Care Pathways requires a blend of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and collaborative abilities.
- Qualified medical practitioner with a current annual practicing certificate.
- Currently working in General Practice for part of the working week.
- Experience in a range of 10+ years in a complex health environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar clinical leadership role.
- Must have held a previous role on a clinical governance group.
- A deep understanding of medical terminology, clinical guidelines, and evidence-based medicine is crucial.
