**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
The Clinical Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Services provides professional and clinical supervision to, and coordination of, the team ensuring that the team utilises its staff and other resources to deliver quality patient care in coordination with other team leaders and the Service Clinical Director. The role is a fixed term maternity cover position and sits within the leadership team and provides strategic leadership to the department’s clinical services. Working across all Directorates, this role demands strong clinical knowledge, positive role modelling and awareness of clinical governance and legislation to optimise patient care through quality improvement and clear strategic direction.
As a service leader you will model Te Toka Tumai values, uphold just culture and champion the organisational vision and strategy and communicate the path forward. This full time fixed term position will provide you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and integrate yourself into all aspects of clinical service leadership. The position collaborates extensively both within the pharmacy department and with multiple Directorates of the wider organisation and region.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
Suitable applicants will ideally have:
- Previous significant pharmacy operational management and leadership preferably in a large health organisation
- Experience of a leadership role within hospital pharmacy
- Be a registered Pharmacist with a current APC or be eligible to obtain one
- A deep commitment to achieving excellent clinical and business outcomes based on quality service delivery and outstanding and empathetic patient care
- Sophisticated capacity to develop and promote clinical leadership and engagement
- The ability to develop an organisation culture based on collaboration, trust and transparency
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:
- A commitment to biculturalism
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Demonstrated high level leadership, supervisory or management experience
- Proven ability to provide leadership and direction in investigating, changing, implementing and developing strategies for improving service delivery
- Demonstrated experience in complex large project management
- Clear understanding of current developments in the provision of hospital pharmacy services in NZ.
- Good organisational skills and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
