**About the role**:
GCSB seeks a high-performing, self-motivated expert in risk and business continuity to provide our senior managers with advice on management of strategic risks and opportunities to ensure we have robust business continuity plans.
We can't reveal all the details of what you'll get to work on if you join us, but it will be complex and challenging. To be successful, you will have demonstrated experience in risk management and developing and testing business continuity plans, and a proven understanding of current risk management methods.
You'll work with others to implement and manage the business continuity plans for the GCSB. You will plan and execute continuity exercises and report to senior management on preparedness across the GCSB. You will be our expert on risk and assurance, ensuring that senior management has a solid understanding of strategic risks facing the organisation and the support to manage these effectively. You will work with the Risk and Assurance Committee to improve risk management and organisational performance, providing committee support along the way. You will engage with leaders and staff across the organisation, to support and guide GCSB on risk identification and management.

**In this position you will**:
- Provide risk and assurance advice to senior management on the identification and management of GCSB strategic risks and opportunities.
- Implement and manage an integrated risk framework for GCSB, including tools and guidance to support.
- Support the GCSB Risk & Assurance Committee to improve risk management.
- Works with others in GCSB and the NZIC to implement and manage a GCSB business continuity plan.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
