**Mō te tūnga | About the role**

The role is part of our Service Improvement Team based at our national office in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland). In this role you will provide advice and guidance to the organisation, nationally, on matters related to quality improvement and tāngata health and wellbeing.

There are two main components to the role:

- Quality_ - the role is responsible for developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives/ projects, policies and processes to support excellent service delivery within our services.
- Clinical _- the role is responsible for providing health information, advice and support to kaimahi at all levels to improve the health, ageing and wellbeing outcomes for our tāngata. This includes facilitating health risk assessments, complex medication reviews, health, ageing and wellbeing related training, and clinical advocacy.

As with most health roles, you will work collaboratively with other professionals in the health and disability sector and provide senior managers with relevant current advice on matters/events impacting tāngata and kaimahi health.

Being the Restraint Coordinator and the Infection Control Coordinator, you will support and advise services across all regions on quality, restraints, infection control, medication management and risk related issues. This will enable you to support the strategic direction of the organisation in these particular areas.

**Ko wai koe | About You**

You are a registered nurse with a current APC and a relevant post graduate qualification. You will bring significant post-registration experience to this role including recent clinical experience preferably from within the disability, aged care or community setting.

You are a collaborator and relationship builder and can be counted on to achieve and maintain quality, and drive continuous improvement. As a seasoned healthcare professional, you are empathetic, patient and understanding of others.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and Experience**

These will include:

- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience
- Experience in a senior nursing role
- Good level of computer literacy across the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in reporting
- Good change management/ project management skills

The role is currently based in Otahuhu which may change to a more central location. Occasional regional travel is an expected part of the role.
