**About the role**
The primary purpose of the Maintenance Fitter is to support Production breakdowns, increase productivity and to implement new or improve existing production equipment within a highly complete, fast moving production environment.

This position will work closely and develop strong relationships with Avionics, Mechanical, Composite and Manufacturing Engineers, Production Managers and Technicians. They will report directly to Maintenance Leading Hand.

Regular activities of the Maintenance fitter include resolve production breakdowns, assembling new production equipment, maintaining, and improving current equipment and facilitating any adhoc factory Maintenance requests.

Ability to accommodate a move into evening shift pattern is required.

**Essential Skills**:

- Time served “Mechanical fitter” within a well-established maintenance Production environment - MEM30205
- “Mechanical trade”
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment specification documentation
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience
- Welding experience TIG / MIG
- Machining experience, Lathe & Milling
