Mō te Tūranga | About the Role In this role, you’ll provide expert home loan advice to our customers, building a network of clients across the area, supporting residential homeowners and property investors. You will grow and sustain new business opportunities in home loans, working in a range of diverse and non-traditional environments, so you'll love the idea of being flexible and adaptable. You’ll report to the Senior Partner Specialist Banking, and he’s provided some great insight on what to expect with the role: What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? - Business development activities to secure new home lending opportunities and building a strong professional referral network - Take ownership of the end-to-end home loan journey for your clients, from initial consultation to settlement - Utilise your expert knowledge to provide tailored home loan solutions that meet our customers’ needs and goals - Build strong relationships with customers in their preferred environment, whether that's in their homes or at a convenient location. - Helping New Zealanders fulfil their home ownership dreams What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? As the home loan market is evolving at a fast pace, the challenge will be to make sure your networking and business development skills are strong, and within the growth segments, to generate new home loan opportunities consistently. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? The role will provide a great platform to build genuine relationships with your customers, understand their unique situations and personally guide them through one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives. What attributes will this person have to be successful? You’ll be passionate about home lending and the entire client journey from pre-approvals to drawdowns and an engaging, self-motivated induvial ready to build an exceptional brand in Auckland. This is an acquisition role so a desire to put yourself out there and really be a self-starter, motivated to succeed and driven to perform is essential. We are looking for: - Exceptional lending knowledge and credit skills in the home lending space - Attention to detail to get things right first time - You’ll be familiar with the area and ideally already have strong relationships and networking abilities in and around the area - A sound understanding of the property market, as well as the housing under construction, property development and turnkey industries This position is 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to work weekends and afterhours as part of the full-time hours.
