Our clientOur client is obsessed with one thing: helping Kiwis build sustainable wealth through property investment. They're not your typical "corporate finance" environment the mortgage team is young and ambitious, they've doubled in size in the last 12 months, created clear progression pathways, and built a culture that blends energy, hunger, and genuine care for their clients.
The role
As a Credit Writer you will sit at the heart of the mortgage process, supporting Mortgage Advisors to prepare and submit high-quality lending applications and keeping the full ecosystem, banks, clients, and brokers moving smoothly.
You will spend approximately:
- 50% of your time engaging with banks/lenders
- 25% with clients
- 25% with brokers and advisors
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, packaging, and submitting mortgage applications to lenders
- Accurately interpreting advisor instructions and client requirements
- Managing pricing requests for both new and existing home loans
- Overseeing the fixed-rate rollover process
- Collecting and reviewing documentation
- Maintaining accurate data entry across multiple systems, including Pipedrive
- Keeping all stakeholders updated about the status of applications
This role requires a minimum of 1–2 years' experience, ideally in banking, mortgage processing, or home lending.

- Build rapport quickly with clients, advisors, and lender partners
- Leverage experience in banking, mortgage processing, or home lending
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Work accurately under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Use Pipedrive (or similar CRMs) confidently as a core source of truth
- Bring basic credit decision-making knowledge and familiarity with lending policy
