We - re looking for a Rotational Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a
Permanent basis. We have two
opportunities, either(0.4FTE) Thursday and Friday between 8.00am - 4.30pm or (0.6FTE) Wednesday to Friday between 8.00am
- 4.30pm.

The role is varied, encompassing rotations throughout clinical areas

**across the Te Whatu Ora hospital sites in Christchurch**: Christchurch Hospital,
Burwood Hospital and Hillmorton Hospital.
Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha prides itself on
supporting and developing our Pharmacy Technicians. This position has plenty of
variety and challenging opportunities and innovation is encouraged by peers,
senior staff and management. The department provides regular continuing
education and numerous other training opportunities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic technician with a good work ethic,
enjoys working as part of a team, has excellent interpersonal skills and a
strong desire to learn. Hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory. If you are considering a switch to hospital
and have a willingness to learn, you will find you are well supported with your
transition.
Ko wai koe | About You

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Dispensing inpatient and outpatient medication

including clinical trials, compassionate supplies, home IV therapy,
chemotherapy and sterile products
- Repacking
- Compounding sterile and non-sterile products
- Assisting with the provision of clinical
pharmacy services to wards including medication history taking and patient
education
- Support in training of student technicians,

- Minimum Core Level

4 NZ Pharmacy Technician Certificate with an expectation to complete the Level
5 Certificate in Pharmacy.
