In this national role you’ll be responsible for leading the Consultants and Data Engineers who make up our team of Microsoft data specialists delivering solutions for New Zealand’s largest and most important organisations.

**The Person**:

You’ll come from a strong professional service or delivery-oriented background and as an experienced people leader you have a track record in motivating your team to achieve outstanding results.

As an industry-leader you’ll be looking for a place that values your knowledge and experience. You’ll be looking for a mature Data and Analytics practice that has strong partnerships with industry leaders such as Microsoft and Informactica so you can deliver enterprise-wide outcomes.

**The Role**:
Reporting directly to the Practice Manager of Data & AI, you will manage a high performing, strongly knit team and foster high levels of employee engagement by continuing to develop and mentor a team of industry recognised specialists. You will also:

- Lead and manage a wide range of Analytics and Data & AI engagements; this can result into liaising with SME’s across our Digital Advisory, Business Applications, Digital and Modern Work teams for improving the overall customer experience
- Lend expertise on solutions around Analytics, Information Management, Data Warehousing, ETL, Data Science and Business Intelligence offerings
- As a Leader and Manager, provide skilled people management driving personal growth and engagement as an effective coach and mentor
- Act as the liaison for our business to the internal Customer Success Teams, Partners and external Client(s)
- Work diligently on pre-sales, pitches and commercial offerings for increasing growth, sales and Customer Success
- Work proactively with other leads and the Practice Manager to manage business capability and capacity and ensure this is aligned with current needs and utilisation performance KPIs
- Input to cost budgeting, financial forecasting and performance management where required
- Have a sense of fun and will strongly contribute to building and maintaining a vibrant team culture

**Ideally, you will have worked a similar position before and possess the following skills and attributes**:

- Extensive demonstrated experience in consulting and business management
- Team management including recruitment, capacity and capability planning
- A people leader who gets the best from their team helping them succeed and supports their individual professional development
- Experience leading or contributing to presales engagements with customers and the development of go-to-market offerings
- Experience providing input to commercials, budget management and utilisation planning
- Technical and business leadership in Analytics, Data & AI around Microsoft technologies and solutions such as Azure
- Experience with delivery methodologies including Waterfall, Agile (SCRUM and/or Kanban), and familiar with DevOps
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and or appropriate industry certifications/experience
