The Opportunity:
You will also be responsible for the Production Support, Incident Management and Problem Management across Core, Digital & Data Platforms. You will be engaging with Platform Leads and relevant business stakeholders to understand business SLAs and establish appropriate SLI/SLOs. This role provides line management of Site Reliability Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Performance Engineers, Support Engineers, and Support Analysts who are part of the Platforms team.

Some key areas of responsibilities include:

- Creating and managing a high performing team of SREs and Support Analysts who are well trained, motivated, and capable of running and supporting solutions across Core, Digital and Data Platforms.
- Establishing and leading the adoption of SRE practices by establishing a community where SREs, DevOps Engineers and other Software Engineers can collaborate, share information, and improve their skills as a team
- Ensure that SRE and Support teams have access to the right tools to deliver on the strategy
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to the team in support of the Production systems
- Define SRE principles and practices that are aligned to Fidelity’s Life’s business strategy and appropriate to deliver expected business benefits

About You:
With a minimum of 2 years’ experience within Technology in a similar role / environment you’ll have a proven track record with managing successful teams, people leadership and coaching. You are focused on delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer needs. You’ll have exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), enjoy collaboration and have a strong level of commercial acumen, and strategic thinking ability.

Together with this you will bring:

- A formal tertiary qualification in technology, such as a BE, BSc (Hons) (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding and experience working with Agile delivery methods
- Strong financial and risk management experience
- Strong technical aptitude and experience developing with Microsoft Cloud products and services
- Ability to lead high performing teams
- Experience in managing performance within the team
