Due to an internal move, we are looking for a Head of Business Credit (Southern) to join the tīma (team). Responsible for supporting and leading the delivery of world class Risk Management practices within the Customer Risk Assessment function, this role will suit someone with solid leadership experience and credit risk background. **Mō te Tūranga | About the Role** We spoke with our GM Customer Risk Assessment (who you'd report to) and he let us know the following about the tūranga (role); **What are some day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?** - Responsible for leading a tīma (team) of Credit risk specialists. - Building ESG risk assessment skills. - Providing leadership and develop cross-skill to uplift capability and ensure succession plans are in place. - Collaborate closely with HO Regions and Sector / Business Heads. - Improve Credit and ESG reporting - Embedding ESG risk assessment within the credit risk management framework - Building Banker capability **What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?** This role gives you the opportunity to be the Senior Risk Leader in the South Island for SME segment. Getting across Aotearoa where regional travel will be required to build relationships with colleagues and customers. **What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?** We are looking for someone with the ability to lead and delegate, set clear expectations, and measure success. You will also be an experienced credit risk professional with a good understanding of ESG risks. **What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ?** The tāngata (people).
