A little bit about the role…
As the Head of International Sales & Brand Development at Kathmandu you will be responsible for driving the development and growth of the distributor network for Kathmandu. The objective is to grow sales and brand value across key regions, building a strong and consistent global brand.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Drive Global Growth:
Lead international market expansion by identifying new opportunities and onboarding high-performing distributor partners aligned with Kathmandu's brand strategy. - Strategic Partner Management:
Manage distributor relationships to ensure compliance, brand consistency, and revenue growth through clear KPIs, operational standards, and marketing excellence. - Sales & Market Planning:
Develop and execute seasonal sales plans, budgets, and forecasts. Align pricing strategies with global architecture and local market dynamics to meet margin targets. - Brand Execution & Marketing:
Collaborate with product and merchandising teams to build seasonal assortments and marketing plans that reflect Kathmandu's global brand values and drive consumer engagement. - Operational Oversight:
Oversee order management, delivery logistics, and financial processes including credit and collections, ensuring smooth execution across all distributor touchpoints. - Long-Term Strategy & Reporting:
Build multi-year channel development plans, coordinate IP across markets, and act as a key liaison for regional insights and strategic reporting to Kathmandu stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience Requirements…
- Demonstrated experience in sales management, distributors/wholesale across multiple markets
- Proven leadership and influencing qualities, and experience building long-term profitable relationships
- Experience in implementation of Sales and Brand strategies aligned to the business strategy
- Proactive consumer focus with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sport or outdoor brand experience and industry knowledge
- Business acumen – general competency across marketing, product, supply chain and finance
- Experience building and delivering budgets
- Experience working in a multicultural environment
- Experience translating global strategies into local execution
- Tertiary qualifications within Marketing, Communications or Digital
