We’re seeking the support of an innovative and collaborative Head of ICT to join our team in Wellington on a permanent, full time basis.
**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**
Reporting to the GM of Finance, Technology and Commercial, with four direct reports, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, support, maintenance, analysis and development of the organisation's ICT services to support Plunket’s business operations, and inspire and lead the ICT team to deliver our vision and strategic plan.
This is a hands-on leadership role with key responsibilities including:
- To provide a fully functional, efficient, and appropriate ICT infrastructure system that enables it to operate nimbly and is responsive to service demands.
- Overseeing and facilitating ICT strategy, design, operations and continuous improvement ensuring information is accessible, secure, accurate and kept in accordance with legislation.
- Understand, anticipate, and influence customer demand for ICT services and manage capacity to meet performance and availability targets.
- Managing the relationships with our external vendors.
- Fostering cross-collaboration with other team leads including the Head of Data & Insights and Head of Improvement and Digital.
**He kōrero mōu | About you**
You will thrive on collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, and be a strong leader, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team. You will be able to operate at a level where you can review ICT strategy and manage/lead the appropriate resources.
You will also bring:
- Tertiary degree in a relevant field and appropriate professional certifications, including ITIL (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge and experience of cloud-based, as-a-service, on-premises, and outsourced ICT infrastructures.
- Familiarity with Microsoft back-end and front-end solutions is preferred.
- The ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
