The Fletcher Building Treasury and Risk team ensures the financial risks (funding, currency, interest rates and commodities) of the Group are managed appropriately as well as ensuring that the Group has a risk management approach, framework and culture that allows it to operate successfully in a world of increased volatility and uncertainty.
**About the role**
- We have an excellent opportunity for a Risk and Insurance Analyst role is to support the Group Risk and Insurance function deliver on its objectives and annual plans. Working closely with the Group Risk and Insurance Manager, the role will support the continued implementation of the risk management framework within Fletcher Building, with the aim of eliminating or minimizing the impact of events that negatively impact Fletcher Building’s earning, asset base or reputation. This critical role will support the Group Risk and Insurance Manager to develop and maintain effective relationships with Business Unite leadership teams across the Fletcher Building Group to ensure that business units have robust risk management processes in place and view Group Risk as a value add rather than a compliance function.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop risk workshop presentation materials
- Assist with pre and post risk workshop engagement
- Help conduct desktop risk reviews with the business units.
- Provide support to the Risk & Insurance Manager to effectively administer and improve the Group’s risk engineering programme
- Assist with Business Continuity Plan reviews and engaging with the business units to ensure robust continuity plans are in place across the Group.
- Be the Group Risk champion for the risk management reporting tool, RADAR.
- Provide support to the Risk & Insurance Manager in respect of the group’s insurance programme, including annual engagement with the insurers leading to the renewal process.
- Provide support to Business Units’ on insurance claims.
- Bring continued focus and innovation to the insurance programme. Help facilitate best-practice information sessions.
**About You**
- Ideally you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline, with experience in a risk related role. This however is highly advantageous rather than absolutely essential. What is required, is your ability to build relationships with key people across the group to ensure the management of risk by the business is robust and open to review/challenge. You’ll possess strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; you’ll be a self-starter, diligent, inclusive and a team player with a keen interest in developing your career further in risk and insurance. Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills is a must
