**About the role**:
The purpose of this role is to provide professional data and analytics programming services to PikPok.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Provide PikPok with professional services which are recognised as:

- Highly professional and competent.
- Offering a superior level of service.
- A source of value-added input.
- Highly proactive in carrying out functions.
- Having an understanding of PikPok strategies/objectives and the support required to achieve these.

2. Provide analytics development services for PikPok including but not limited to:

- Creating and maintaining analytics development processes and tools.
- Extracting and analysing user, load, and transform data from multiple sources including server logs, 3rd party sdks/tools, a/b tests, apis etc..
- Building tools, apis, functions, and services to run on our data.
- Performing testing and quality assurance.
- Mentoring staff as appropriate.
- Developing and upholding best practice development methodology.
- Producing development and technical documentation as required.

3. Provide technical support services for PikPok including:

- Setup and configuration of third party and internal data pipelines.
- Troubleshooting when data and analytics back-end issues arise.

4. Contribute to the effective and efficient operations of PikPok by:

- Participating actively as a member of the PikPok analytics team.
- Fostering open, two-way communications at all levels.
- Onboarding and upskilling other analytical team members; providing mentorship in technical skills, soft skills, and gaming industry knowledge.
- Providing leadership within the analytics team as required.

5. Undertake projects as requested by Line Manager.

**Requirements**:

- 4+ years of experience in a data developer, data engineer, or similar role.
- Background in database management or business intelligence.
- Fluent in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with servers and data processing technologies.
- Experience with big data handling and processing.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies.
- Intuitive understanding of good software design and architecture.
- Excellent debugging skills and practices.
- Experience working with version control systems (SVN and GIT).
- Familiar with scrum/agile development practices.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to talk through problems and collaborate in system design.
- Writes good readable code.
- Tertiary level programming and/or information technology and/or computer science qualification.
- Knowledge of digital user acquisition.
- Front end software development.
- Keen knowledge and interest in games especially mobile and free-to-play.

**Experience using any or all the following would be an advantage**:

- Amazon Web Services (Redshift, Kinesis, S3)
- Postgres.
- Kubernetes.
- JavaScript.
- Typescript.
- Celery.

**Managerial Skills**:

- Able to manage your own workload alongside the project/department’s current goals;
- Able to assist other analytics team member
