Te Pare ō Toi is a ‘Change engine' for Toi Ora as we progress our strategy, Te Toi Ahorangi Rautaki 2030.
The Pou Taahu will lead, inspire and maintain the standards and quality of delivery of He Pou Oranga Tangata Whenua through the cornerstones of Ngā Pou Mana o Io - Mana Atua, Mana Tupuna, Mana Whenua, Mana Moana and Mana Tangata that underpin our Māori worldview.
This position reports to the Pou Tikanga and is expected to take on additional responsibility in their absence. The Pou Taahu works closely with the Toitiaki and supports Cluster Leaders with Toi Ora programs, innovations and outcomes. As a Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi, Bay of Plenty Service, there may be opportunities to work across the boundaries of Mai i ngā Kuri a Whārei ki Tihirau, mai Maketu ki Tongariro. This position is required to work across both Tauranga and Whakatāne Hospitals.

- Lead Pou Kōkiri to empower and carry out the vision of Te Toi Ahorangi
- Championing and supporting Toi Ora knowledge and competence within the workforce
- Monitoring performance of Pou Kōkiri and maintain appropriate development goals
- A dynamic, fast paced environment well supported in terms of your professional development and wairuatanga
- Contribute to quality & risk planning & monitoring
- Partnering with Clinical and Operational leaders to drive Toi Ora service delivery outcomes and performance in Te Whatu ora

He Kōrero mōu - About You
- Mātauranga Māori qualification and/or proven relevant experience.
- Expert knowledge of Te Reo me ōna Tikanga.
- Previous team leadership/ operational management experience.
- Proven commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all practices.
- Demonstrated ability to transfer Te Aō Māori views, concepts, knowledge and practices for collective responsiveness.
- Lead the implementation of He Pou Oranga Tāngata whenua in all clinical aspects of practice.
- Demonstrate and embed behaviours consistent with the BOPDHB Manaakitanga values.
