Yoobee - Online Animation Tutor

**About the role**:
Yoobee Colleges has a firm belief that learning should be accessible to all learners regardless of their location, family commitments, financial constraints, and work schedules. It is for this reason that we have undertaken the development of a fit-for-purpose Online learning management system (LMS) to cater to learners from all walks of life.

An amazing opportunity to join our growing Yoobee Online campus to support our Diploma in Animation Programme. You will be walking into an energetic environment where value is placed on delivering outcomes rather than micro-managing work and tasks. You will be given autonomy to work in a way that gets the best results and will be expected to take responsibility and make things happen. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

- Participate in the continuous improvement of course content and teaching resources
- Provide support and facilitate learning for students enrolled in the asynchronous course
- Deliver assessments and have an overview of the assessors grading process, ensuring they evaluate to prescribed national and local qualification standards
- Record of accurate student data, assessment results, attendance, student-at-risk and other required documentation

**About you**:
You will describe yourself as an accomplished animation practitioner who is enthusiastic, positive, patient, and motivated self-starter who has a passion for sharing knowledge and trying new things. Your exceptional communication and time management skills, along with the ability to connect and build relationships will be the key to your success Ideally, you will also have
- Skills and experience with 3D modelling, texturing, and preproduction skills, e.g., design, storyboards animatics
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- An ability to connect with students through a variety of delivery methods and provide basic pastoral care and support
- Have experience with assessment and moderation practices and in some or all the following key discipline skills:

- Adobe PS, AE
- Animate and Toonboom
- Maya and Substance
- Experience with different animation styles and experimental animation
- Basic modelling - Lighting, Camera Staging, pre-viz, rendering.
- Breaking down pipelines
- Concept Art / Visual Communication Design Theory
- Character Design
- Keen to expand your adult teaching skillset as part of your professional development
- Commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
