**About the Role**
The Child Development Service are a community based team of allied health professionals who are passionate about improving the health outcomes of tamariki /children with developmental delays or disabilities. However this role encompasses all children with orthopaedic needs.
As a Clinical Coordinator in Paediatric Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, you will coordinate clinical activities and provide direct clinical care. This role involves managing clinical caseloads, supervising staff (one other physiotherapist), and supporting service and policy development.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage clinical caseload and deliver healthcare services
- Provide professional leadership and expert clinical advice
- Set targets and support data gathering and reporting
- Participate in service and policy development
- Educate and train staff, conduct workplace assessments
- Review performance metrics and implement quality improvements
- Manage time effectively, oversee meetings, projects, and strategic planning
- Use and train others on equipment, manage stock control
- Conduct clinical/non-clinical audits and research
- Drive and support projects, participate in steering groups
**About You**
We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist with expertise in paediatric orthopaedics and the desire to lead a team to join us in this permanent part time role. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following:
- Physiotherapy assessment, goal setting, and intervention knowledge
- Knowledge and experience in serial casting & orthotics prescription
- Minimum 5 years of clinical work experience in Paediatric and/or Orthopaedic Physiotherapy
- Experience with clinical teaching/supervision, training and development of staff
- Experience in Case Management
- Experience making judgements in complex situations where there is incomplete information or solutions are not obvious
- Clearance under the provisions of the Vulnerable Children - s Act (2014)
- Full Drivers Licence
- Registration with PBNZ and a current APC
