We have a permanent opportunity available within the Waikato North Head Maintenance team for a Maintenance Planner Scheduler..

This position is based at our Waikato North Head Mine Site which is located on Ghezzie road, Otaua. The minimum working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

**What you will be doing**

Reporting to the Mining and Services Maintenance Manager, The Maintenance Planner Scheduler duties are specialized and are defined in terms of a project management perspective as the process of establishing the sequence and relationship of a series of actions and requirements prior to maintenance work commencing, along with procuring and providing the parts and resources needed to deliver the work plan. From time to time this role is required to cover the PME Team Leader role and other Maintenance Planner Scheduler roles within the maintenance structure.

Your duties will include:

- Providing support for improving planning and scheduling of plant equipment and performance across the business
- Business Leadership responsibilities including helping provide a clear aligned maintenance strategy for the business
- Financial responsibilities including minimising maintenance expenditure through cost control Technical responsibilities including providing technical procedures to ensure all maintenance work is done to the correct specifications

**What you will bring to the role**

We are looking for someone who has a strong trades background with electrical & mechanical and planning experience. This role requires a strong focus on maintenance planning and scheduling competence.

Your ability to be flexible and organised will be the key in helping our team to deliver towards our business priorities. In addition, you will bring to the role and team:

- A tertiary qualification, Electrical & Mechanical dual trades background or relevant experience in the industry as Dual-Traded.
- Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and estimating processes
- Knowledge/experience in the use of SAP R/3
- Compliance with safety procedures and policies
- The capacity to plan, organise and delegate responsibilities to others
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong computer skills, know your way around systems and spreadsheets
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work and contribute to our diverse and inclusive teams
