Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our General Manager, Wealth & Insurance Partnerships (who you’d report to), and he let us know the following about the tūranga (role): What are the day-to-day tasks the person in this role will complete? You’ll lead BNZ’s partnerships with our wealth and insurance product manufacturing partners. You will ensure there is well defined wealth & insurance partnership strategy. You’ll also ensure partnerships are aligned around multi-year development roadmaps that will drive an uplift in customer benefit and value. You’ll negotiate and manage key commercial terms and will ensure partnerships are positioned for growth. You will also make sure BNZ meets service delivery commitments to partners and manage partners to their commitments. You’ll also ensure end to end coverage with mínimal duplication across BNZ and partners’ conduct programmes. What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity? We’re ambitious for growth and for a step change in the customer value we deliver. We partner with industry leaders who see it the same way we do. Then most exciting thing is how much opportunity there is. A priority will be working across partners to agree and implement the strategic and development artefacts that will shape and guide multi-year partnership growth. At the same time you’ll lead out a group of in-flight development initiatives and will focus on implementing best practice operating rhythms across partnerships. Success is leading out the partnerships to deliver a step change in customer value and commercial growth. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this tūranga? You will have senior management experience and significant exposure to commercial partnership management. You’ll have deep wealth and or insurance domain knowledge. You’ll also have outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, which you’ll use to create collaborative working relationships with and across partnerships. You’re an experienced leader with a core belief in a team-first philosophy and strong conviction in the customer benefit of the wealth and insurance product family.
