Our business is going from strength to strength and with our continued success and growth we are expanding our Project Design team, responsible for ensuring our R&D designs become a reality for our customers. You'll primarily be responsible for data entry and documentation for mechanical Bill of material (BOMs). You'll also be a key link between our Design and Production teams. Other responsible are as follows:
- Working with existing AutoCAD designs to produce models and drawings for our custom machines
- Providing production documentation and customised work assembly instructions for our assembly teams
- Supporting our customer projects team with a mix of configuration and customisation to new and existing mechanical designs and products
- Assisting teams to find how we can improve the ways we engineer and deliver our products and solutions
- **Please note this is a 12 months fixed term contract**
**Qualifications**:
This role will see you liaising with wide range of people throughout our organisation from Sales Engineering, R&D, Assembly and Purchasing. To be successful in this role you'll bring the following:
- Previous background from mechanical production environment (such as CNC machinist, fitter etc)
- You'll know what the team needs from you and will be confident with a tool kit, able to bolt things together and understand mechanical drawings really well
- You're well experienced in Solidworks and/or have knowledge of both 2D and 3D modelling systems
- You describe yourself to be methodical with strong attention to detail and you’ll be proud to handover your completed work knowing nothing has been missed.
