**About the Role**:
The Legal Counsel is responsible for the delivery of the company's legal strategy and practice. This involves reviewing their operational activities within the legal and privacy space, while contributing to strategy in these areas. This role works closely with the Revenue team and includes reviewing contracts (including master services agreement, SaaS contracts, and Data Protection Agreements) from customers around the world.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Expertise supporting a team to drive commercial deals with large high-profile clients working with Sales and Customer Success teams.
- Solid commercial contracting experience, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Solid knowledge of privacy and data protection laws and issues (including a working knowledge of the New Zealand Privacy Act, GDPR, and UK data protection legislation), including in the contractual context, with the ability to explain contractual data protection risks to business partners and negotiate relevant clauses with third parties
