The Community Midwifery Service provides high quality, evidence-based care for women who require ADHB as their Lead-Maternity Carer. The service provides antenatal and postnatal care by a named Community Midwife. Midwife-led antenatal clinics are offered at Greenlane Clinical Centre and various community-based locations. After hours care, as well as support during labour and birth, is provided by the core midwives and, if required, obstetric teams in Auckland City Hospital. Postnatal care is offered in the home.

This whanau-focused service also provides expert care with an interdisciplinary approach to women with additional needs such as Maori, Pasifika, new immigrant or former refugees and young mothers. Other complex needs may include mental health issues, drug/alcohol use and obstetric complications.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

We are looking for:

- At least three years postgraduate experience as a midwife, with at least one year in a Community setting
- Current New Zealand midwifery registration or be eligible for registration with the Midwifery Council of New Zealand
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate
- A current New Zealand driving licence
