We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our highly sought after community midwifery team. Our midwifery positions are key to us providing better access to maternity care for our North and West Auckland community. Kindness, empathy and the ability to work closely in partnership with women is essential.
We are currently looking for a midwife with community experience that can commit to providing quality service. You will be predominantly based at Waitakere.
This position will be predominately Monday to Friday, 0800-1630 and needs to provide cover for weekends and public holidays in order to provide service seven days a week. Therefore, you must be flexible and able to work collaboratively within the community team.
You will need to have a clear understanding of Maternity Care in New Zealand and the choices available to women. A commitment to women's health, contemporary midwifery knowledge and skills, good communication and customer service practices are essential.
- A qualified, experienced midwife with a current NZ midwifery practicing certificate
- A resourceful health practitioner who is able to manage their own workload and make sound clinical decisions
