Our client, an established successful franchise business, is looking for the perfect fit for a skilled mechanic to be the owner's right-hand person, assisting in this busy workshop covering a range of services for various kinds of small vehicles.
IN RETURNYou will work in a friendly, small supportive team with new equipment, including a new hoist setup, and a clean working environment. We have an open mind around what pay could be and are open to discussion, for the right level of experience.
This vacancy is for a full-time permanent role offering a minimum of a 40-hour work week. Monday to Friday with a level of flexibility around start or finish times. We want it to work for you and your personal life, too
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work alongside the owner, also a trained mechanic, to oversee the small team of technicians in the workshop.
You will spend 50% of your time doing WOF Checks Inspections and diagnostic testing.
50% doing senor mechanic duties such as general servicing, maintenance, and repairs to light vehicles & trailers.
Day to day workshop duties, and supporting the team
SKILLS NEEDED
A relevant automotive trade qualification with post apprenticeship experience working on light passenger vehicles
Someone with about 3 - 5 years experience under their belt
Good all round mechanical skills
WOF / AVI authority highly sought after - or the willingness to get this qualification
Team player
Attention to detail
Solid work ethic and stable employment history
