**The opportunity - Te tūranga**

We're looking for someone who loves sport and has a strong background in journalism to help run the sport news coverage on 1News.co.nz.

You'll be comfortable covering any sport, but with a focus on the key codes that Kiwis care about.

You'll be able to move from live updating an All Blacks test to editing a Silver Ferns video clip to interviewing the Warriors coach. With the summer of cricket ahead, you will need to excited by this.

The need for high quality editorial content which is produced at speed and regularly updated and enhanced is very important.

This role involves regular evening and weekend work.

**What we're looking for - Tā mātou e kimi nei**

As this is a reporting role first and foremost, you will need advanced communication skills especially written as well as an eye for detail along with the ability to work to deadlines and perform well under pressure.

Driven and focused you will demonstrate high levels of integrity and honesty. We want someone adaptable and proactive with strong interpersonal skills across a broad range of levels, cultures and skills areas.

The successful applicant will have at least three years' journalism experience and be looking to develop their career.
