This ecosystem, Futureverse, is the culmination of five years of strategy, research and development to create the foundation for an open and scalable metaverse infrastructure with world-class content and a highly engaged community. The ecosystem companies are Altered State Machine, Non Fungible Labs, Sylo, CentraPass, Centrapay, Immersve, Shadows Interactive and Altered Phoenix.

Futurevere is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our core Development team in the production and maintenance of a wide range of solutions for one of the fastest moving industries in the world.

The Principal DevOps Engineer is responsible for how code is deployed, configured, and monitored, as well as the availability, latency, change management, emergency response, and management capacity of services in production. The Principal DevOps Engineer will take back the collected data to the Development team to fix any issues.

We also expect the Principal DevOps Engineer to help determine what new features can be incorporated and when by using Service-Level Agreements (SLAs) to define the required reliability of the system through Service-Level Indicators (SLI) and Service-Level Objectives (SLO).

As the Principal DevOps Engineer you will have a reporting line to the CTO & CISO.

We are open to applicants based anywhere in the world however preference will be made to applicants based in New Zealand friendly timezones eg. Australia, North America, parts of Asia.

**Requirements**:
**You must have**:

- Deep knowledge of version control
- Sound knowledge of operating Systems (like LINUX)
- Advanced Kubernetes experience
- Experience architecting solutions for cloud services
- A strong understanding of DevOps concepts and best practices
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code applied to Cloud
- CI/CD implementation expertise
- Issue troubleshooting experience
- Good understanding of distributed computing
- Should know “coding”
- Deep knowledge of AWS Cloud Services and how to automate these
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

**Nice to have**:

- Knowledge of IPFS Protocol
- Knowledge of Ethereum node hosting and optimisation
- Some knowledge of other blockchain technologies
