We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test to join Advantive's growing product team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping and driving our test automation strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software across our product suite. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, while also analyzing code quality, troubleshooting issues, and championing best practices in software testing. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement to support Advantive's commitment to excellence and innovation.

  • Evaluate team needs and recommend the most effective automation tools and frameworks.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable libraries.
  • Create and execute automated test cases to improve product quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with product, development, and DevOps teams to align on testing strategies.
  • Troubleshoot failed test cases, identify root causes, and support timely fixes.
  • Document processes and track user issues to drive continuous improvement.
  • Champion quality practices by applying Agile methodologies and staying current with QA automation trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 2 years in automation testing.
  • Hands-on expertise with Python for test automation (Selenium/Java a plus).
  • Proven ability to design and maintain regression suites, ensuring stable software releases.
  • Proficient in Linux environments and command-line troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of QA automation practices, testing methodologies, and quality metrics.
  • Experience testing across multiple products, demonstrating adaptability and breadth of skills.
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player focused on delivering high-quality outcomes.

Preferred

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
