We’re looking for a Team Engagement Specialist (Sustainable Fleet Transition) to join our team here in Auckland reporting to our Chapter Leader for Employment and Workplace Relations on an initial 12 month fixed term contract.
WWNZ has an ambitious decarbonisation strategy, and reducing our transport carbon emissions is a key enabler to our commitment to reduce emissions by 2030 and overall achieve our ambition of net positive carbon emissions by 2045.
**About the Role | Mō te Tūranga
The Team Engagement Specialist role will be responsible for designing, implementing and embedding our commitment to 100% EV Tool of Trade (ToT) fleet vehicles by 2030.
You will lead the change, successfully embedding a decarbonised Tool of Trade (ToT) fleet agenda, and ensuring the business is ready, willing and able to support a wider decarbonised fleet in the future.
**Responsible for the Following
**Fleet**
- M anage all activities relating to the EV ToT fleet, including oversight and monitoring of the EV ToT fleet operations for compliance with New Zealand law and regulations and policy, to ensure the fleet is safe to drive, regularly serviced, repaired, maintained, and fit for business purposes.
- Partner with the wider Fleet team to understand volume forecasts and required vehicle and accessory specifications
- Partner with the Procurement and Health and Safety team - to deliver the procurement of a fit for purpose, safe, cost effective EV ToT fleet, while reducing our ToT fleet carbon footprint in line with our sustainability commitment Partner with Procurement to explore best financing model for ToT to support the transition, and implications/opportunities for wider Fleet
- Identify, implement, and promote vehicle fleet alternatives to help balance and maintain optimal vehicle fleet and other employee transportation options for business effectiveness purposes. Provide regular analysis, review and reporting as required
**Charging Infrastructure**
- Design an endorsed approach for implementing charging infrastructure within the WWNZ business
- In conjunction with Procurement, conduct an RFP to determine provider of charging facilities Lead the implementation of charging facilities with the chosen provider
**Project Management**
- Defining project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communication plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
- Monitoring costs, timelines and resources, and takes steps to align if needed
- Defining project scope, goals, budgets, deliverables and dependencies in conjunction with stakeholders
- Managing change requests and updates to scope, budgets and timelines
- Managing resources as needed, assigning and prioritising tasks
- Managing change activities
- Liaising with external contractors and third-party vendors to coordinate and deliver work
- Preparing timelines and other documentation to ensure smooth and successful execution.
- Managing clients throughout the project, communicating plans, work-in-progress and project status updates

- Identifying risks and issues and effectively managing them
- Ensuring on time and on budget delivery of the project
- Communication with senior stakeholders on project progress (including risks and mitigations) Ensures that own projects are formally closed, reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded
**Change Management**
- In conjunction with the Workplace Relations and Legal team, assess business impacts to determine the approach to consultation, and lead out on this process and conversations
- Drive program, business and cultural change including a customer and business led approach to how we do things
- Develop strategies for ensuring a planned and coordinated approach to delivering and embedding change into the business (includes assessing business impacts, stakeholder engagement, communication, L&D, assessing readiness) Develop leadership capability to drive target state culture and effective change execution
**About You | Mōu**
- Previous experience in Project Management, HR or Change related discipline
- Significant experience managing change including consultation with team members in a highly complex, diverse and challenging business environment
- Proven ability to innovate and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies in change management processes
- Strategic and creative thinker coupled with strong commercial acumen
- Possess strong initiative and stakeholder management skills to build and foster positive relationships
- Exceptional communication skills - written, verbal and active listening
- Ability to work collaboratively and complement/draw on the specialist skills of others
- Passion for developing change skills and awareness across the organisation
