With the Hornby branch closing and the Rolleston branch opening later this year, there is an excellent opportunity for expansion in the rural sector and driving growth from the Selwyn district, while also continuing to support the trade business currently being serviced by our Hornby branch.
Opening a new branch is a unique and exciting opportunity. You’d need to be up for the task, working closely with the Hub Operations Manager, to deliver an exceptional offering in an outstanding way.
As the Hornby/Rolleston Branch Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational function and overall presentation of the branch, including the Showroom, Yard, and Drive-Thru. Your primary focus will be to lead and manage the branch to become a profitable link in the Christchurch Hub and develop a passionate and dedicated team.
In this role, you will also develop and implement a Branch Business Plan to achieve business growth, manage all aspects of branch operations and administration, and ensure compliance with EHS requirements. You will need to have strong leadership ability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in managing a team.
To be successful in this role, you will need a proven track record of developing and implementing business plans, as well as experience in cost and margin management. Ideally, you will have experience in the building or construction industry, but this is not essential.
As the Hornby/Rolleston Branch Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the team's performance, creating a great workplace culture, and maximizing sales by coaching and directing staff in customer service practices. You will also manage stock and ensure timely ordering and management of deliveries, as well as merchandising product to aid customer shopping and assist staff in customer service with the objective of selling more.
