At Xero, our purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. Because when they succeed they make a difference, and when millions of small businesses are making a difference, the world is a more beautiful place.
- We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our Bank Feeds team in either Auckland or Wellington_

As part of the Bank Feeds team, you’ll be joining one of the cornerstones of what makes Xero incredible. Without us, Xero wouldn’t be where it is today. We exist to create trusted and seamless connections between customers and their financial institutions, enabling timely and accurate data to unlock the value of Xero.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for Bank Feeds vision and product strategy. You will lead, coach and mentor a talented team of Product Owners. Your skillful leadership will enable them, and their engineering pods, to deliver compelling products and services that solve real problems for our customers, in turn creating value for Xero.

**What you'll do**:

- Set and communicate a compelling product vision that your Product Owners and wider team pursue with zeal.
- Lead with strong strategic thinking and decision making. You’ll synthesise a vast range of qualitative and quantitative inputs, as well as others’ expertise across domains (including Engineering, Design, Data, Go to Market, senior leadership) to make decisions to best position your group, and Xero, for enduring success.
- You’ll establish strong relationships with your stakeholders and update them appropriately on product vision, strategy, releases and roadmaps.
- You’ll lead and drive an integrated Engineering-Product focus where technology excellence is at the heart of your decision-making. You will understand both technical and business challenges and modern Engineering practice.
- You’ll coach your Product Owners in modern product discovery practices — enabling them and their engineering pods to understand and use experimental techniques.
- You’ll ensure Product Owners are effectively supported. They will understand their personal career path and are encouraged to work towards it.
- You’ll empower your Product Owners and their engineering pods to make decisions when fast, decentralised decision-making is appropriate to reduce delays, make improvements, enable faster feedback and more innovative solutions.

**What you'll bring with you**:

- Proven experience championing strategic priorities and helping others relate to and align with it. Proven experience setting product vision and strategy in an outcome-centric environment.
- Proven experience using prioritisation models — can relay several different prioritisation models, when to use which and why.
- Proven product experience — with an extensive toolbox of modern product discovery practices to draw upon. Proven experience coaching Product Owners in them.
- Proven experience using a range of metrics to monitor the success and health of products and services. Proven experience of making evidence-based decisions.
- A solid track record of addressing customer needs. Proven experience connecting teams closer with customers (and not just be a proxy for them).
Excellent stakeholder management skills. Proven experience building meaningful, collaborative relationships across all levels of the business.
- Proven experience leading and building high-performing product teams, fostering an open and collaborative environment.
- Proven experience working with innovative software development projects at scale.
