**Specific deliverables expected by end of internship**
- Create comprehensive guides matching satellite data sources to emergency types (floods, earthquakes, fires)
- Develop step-by-step procedures for rapid data access, download, and processing
- Design ArcGIS Online publishing workflows and templates for emergency deployment
- Assess national requirements for satellite imagery
- Present findings to inform strategic planning and funding decisions

**He pukenga tou - Skills & Experience**
- Studying Geospatial Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or Emergency Management (3rd year or postgrad)
- Knowledge of satellite imagery types (optical, multispectral, hyperspectral, radar)
- Experience with GIS software, particularly ArcGIS Online
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Team player who understands the importance of clear communication during crisis situations

**Desirable**
- Familiarity with satellite platforms (Sentinel, Planet, Maxar)
- Experience creating training materials or conducting surveys
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures or CIMS framework
