The Role"The role of a Support Worker involves providing assistance to individuals in developing their independence and acquiring skills for daily living. This includes tasks like helping them with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation.
This role requires a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude. We would prefer someone who has previous experience working within the disability sector or aged care, but full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Required Skills and Qualifications"To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
You will also require physical fitness to provide necessary physical support and a Full NZ driver's license. Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily.
A Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Benefits"As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $23.84 - $29.10 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, with the ability to earn more as you gain qualifications.
IDEA Services will support you towards completion of the Level 2, 3 and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications.
