Are you a policy professional looking for a new challenge?

Playcentre Aotearoa is seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Policy, Privacy and Compliance Officer.

This role is responsible for:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and revising policies through conducting thorough research
  • Maintaining the Policy register and collaborating with stakeholders for input and consensus on policy development
  • Ensuring MOE licensing policy review criteria are met
  • Managing formal & privacy complaints and providing advice and guidance to organisation's leaders
  • Collecting, reviewing, analysing and summarising evidence collected in complaints investigations
  • Providing advice and guidance to the organisation on privacy matters that may impact on or breach Playcentre Aotearoa's members or employees

The ideal candidate will have strong relationship skills and be able to manage and resolve formal complaints, ensuring swift and satisfactory outcomes.

Key requirements include:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in policy analysis or development.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A knowledge and understanding of the Privacy Act 2020 and the Official Information Act 1982 sufficient to fulfill the role of Privacy Officer.
  • A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of natural justice and fairness.
  • Excellent relationship management skills - proven ability to interact effectively and confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong ethical judgement and ability to handle confidential information.
