About the Role
As a mental health specialist, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works in partnership to support individuals achieve their maximum mental health potential. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to a varied caseload, coordinating care and providing therapeutic interventions, solutions, and advocacy to identified psycho-social needs.
The Henry Rongomau Bennett Centre is a fast-paced acute mental health inpatient unit. Every day is different, and you have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of others by building strong relationships with whānau and ensuring individuals return safely to their communities.

About You
You must be competent in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or be committed to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth. Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings, is essential. Registration with the Social Workers Board of New Zealand, a current full driver's license, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
