We are seeking a skilled Maaori Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team in Ward 36, an acute admission unit providing culturally led and clinically underpinned mental health care.

This role will be essential in creating partnerships with Maaori across all levels, supporting our non-Maaori staff to work together in reducing inequity.

About the Role

You will identify as Maaori, have a good understanding of Te Ao Maaori and your own identity and whakapapa connections.

As a qualified nurse with 3-4 years of clinical experience in mental health, you will possess a passion for making a difference to the lives of our taangata whaiora and whaanau.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create radical change for Maaori by working closely with Maaori staff, Kaitakawaenga team, and taangata whaiora and whaanau.
  • Support non-Maaori staff to work together in reducing inequity.
